SMITH & WESSON
Born of a partnership that was established in 1852 between Horace Smith and Daniel B. Wesson, Smith & Wesson leads the industry with innovative ideas and designs. The pair wanted to manufacture a handgun capable of firing a fully self-contained cartridge, and for over 100 years, the company has significantly contributed to the history of firearms. Its founders believed in reliable firearms built with high-quality materials and outstanding production practices, and those commitments remain steadfast for Smith & Wesson today.
Currently headquartered in Springfield, Massachusetts, Smith & Wesson manufactures dozens of revolvers and semi-automatic handguns. Most are available in various sizes and calibers, with a plethora of options and features. Many models are designed specifically for military and law enforcement use but remain popular with civilians as well.
Some of Smith & Wesson’s best-selling revolvers include the Model 19, Model 29, Model 642, Model 686, and the Model 10, while the most popular semi-auto pistols include the Model 41, M&P9 M2.0, M&P9 Shield, and the SD Series.
